BW Technologies launches GasAlert Extreme

CALGARY, ALBERTA--BW Technologies Ltd. (BWT-TSX) has launched the GasAlert Extreme, a water-resistant, highly durable gas detector designed to warn workers of hazardous atmospheric conditions. At less than 10 centimetres in height, the compact and affordable GasAlert Extreme clips easily on a hardhat, belt or lapel. The product comes with an extra-loud alarm, flashing LED light bars and a built-in vibrator to alert the wearer to hazardous conditions. GasAlert Extreme detectors are available to monitor for oxygen deficiency, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide, chlorine, ammonia, and a variety of other toxic contaminants.

The GasAlert Extreme comes with a large easy-to-read display with a built-in backlight to ensure readings are legible even in dim light conditions. Featuring optional datalogging and multi-language support, the product has the ability to wirelessly transfer data to a computer or docking station module. The instrument is powered by an easily changed 3V camera battery that provides up to two years of continuous operation.
