CARBONX ULTIMATE AND ACTIVE BASELAYERS BALANCE PROTECTION AND COMFORT

Historically, comfort-driven, flame-resistant (FR) apparel has not offered enough protection to be seriously considered for use in hazardous environments. The CarbonX® Ultimate™ Baselayer and Active™ Baselayer are the exception.

Constructed using advanced patented technology, the Ultimate and Active Baselayers combine comfort with an extraordinary level of protection. Both are made from double jersey interlock knits comprised of a proprietary blend of high-performance fibers. Inherently flame resistant, they will not burn, melt, or ignite, and they significantly outperform other FR options when subjected to direct flame, extreme heat, molten metal, hot/flammable liquids, or arc flash. Even after intense exposure, they maintain their strength and integrity and continue to protect.

The Ultimate Baselayer provides the highest level of thermal protection and is ideal for professionals working in extreme conditions when safety matters most. With a weight of 265 +5% G/M2, it is also the best choice for cooler climates and winter conditions.

The Active Baselayer fiber blend includes a hydrophilic fiber designed to absorb and wick away moisture, making it ideal for use in warmer climates, summer conditions, and high-activity tasks. At a lighter weight (185 +5% G/M2), it is the best solution for active wearers who want to keep comfortable even in potentially dangerous conditions.

Both the Ultimate Baselayer and the Active Baselayer can be worn daily as part of a total personal protective equipment (PPE) solution.
