Wangen, September 2009: Melchior Textil continues to expand its unique range of coloured fabrics for workwear and corporate fashion. The latest "Top Line" collection features the trend colours for the coming 2010 fashion season in combination with new patterns and old favourites. With a palette of more than 60 shades in a variety of fabric qualities the new collection more than fulfils garment manufacturers' requirements for fashionable, modern fabrics.
Fashion awareness is on the rise in the workwear sector. Both the hotel and catering and the food service industries are looking for alternatives to conventional classic stripes, and the world of corporate fashion is calling out for new, trendy designs and colours with a contemporary feel for individual work outfits. Melchior Textil has responded to these trends with an up-to-date collection of coloured fabrics. The latest "Top Line" collection features checked and striped fabrics in new designs as well as old favourites, all in the trend colours of the coming 2010 fashion season.
As far as colours are concerned, violet, yellow and orange, subdued shades of green and blue, khaki and red are the "dernier cri". They are most often seen in combination with bright white, arranged in clear, graphic patterns and elegantly framed with relief-like ornamental yarns. The "Top Line" collection's fashionable appearance belies its extreme durability. The fabrics, a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton with a weight of 195g/m2, are intended primarily for tops. All of the fabrics meet the exacting requirements of the workwear industry and are particularly hard wearing.
