DICKIES: A+A EXHIBITION PREVIEW 2017 (3.950 characters)

Trade fair exhibition at A+A 2017
Dickies presents its exclusive premium brand DickiesPRO

Williamson-Dickie (Dickies) will provide many of the exhibition highlights at A+A 2017, including the unveiling of DickiesPRO, an exclusive premium brand for professional craftspeople, the significantly expanded array of products in the popular Everyday 24/7 colour range and the IndustryPLUS range which is suitable for leasing and industrial washing. Plus, the workwear manufacturer will also present an entirely new trade fair stand concept. Clearly demarcated product pools spread across more than 400 square metres will provide the trade fair's specialist audience with targeted information about innovations and key product lines at stand E23 in hall 4.

Dickies will showcase its new, exclusive collection named DickiesPRO in Düsseldorf. "It has everything that the challenging environments facing craftspeople and installation companies demand – exceptional quality, durability and comfort with ergonomic fits," says Marcel Hlawatsch, Director Sales at Dickies. "In order to ensure that all of these demands are met to the fullest, we use the most resistant high-tech materials such as Ripstop, Cordura and TenCate stretch fabrics". DickiesPRO features highly functional trousers and holster trousers, softshell jackets and t-shirts, with matching caps and belts in five contemporary colour combinations. When used in combination with the Cordura-covered Dickies SA70 knee pads, both trouser variants conform to DIN EN 14404. Further practical details include the ergonomically optimised fit, the highly elastic stretch waistband, the metal-free, non-scratch exterior and numerous pockets and reflective accents, all combining to make the PRO trousers the perfect partner for any job.

The significant expansions to the commercially successful Everyday 24/7 range will also be unveiled for the first time, with a black-yellow colour variant, coveralls and sweatshirts all being added to the line in autumn. This will bring the range to a total of twelve eye-catching colour combinations and more than 130 items, making Everyday 24/7 "one of the most successful colour ranges currently available on the German market," affirms Hlawatsch. The functional product range also includes trousers and jackets, shorts, softshell and hooded jackets, t-shirts, hoodies, fleeces, vests and polo shirts, as well as a selection of special-coloured safety shoe models. And the range of sizes is impressive too, with over 30 for the trousers alone and slim and wider cuts offered at no additional cost. The variety of pockets afford plenty of space for any kind of equipment that the craftsperson needs to keep at hand. With a weight of 240 g/m2, the mixed fabric, composed of 65 percent polyester and 35 percent cotton, is highly robust, can be washed up to 60 degrees and can be tumble-dried. Plus, all zips and buttons on trousers, jackets and vests are covered to protect against scratches.

In IndustryPLUS, the manufacturer will also present a new, industrially washable and leasable product line, which has been developed by its Belgian sister company Van Moer, who joined the Dickies Group in 1988. Visitors to the trade fair can also discover countless other ranges from the manufacturer at first hand, including Eisenhower, GDT Premium, Industry260, Industry300, high-visibility wind and weather protection and Dickies and Terra brand safety shoes. "Our new stand concept means visitors will be able to find their way around quickly and easily," reveals Hlawatsch, as well as having the opportunity to learn about innovations and key product lines in clearly-structured, targeted product pools. "Expert visitors who arrange an appointment with our team in advance will also receive a key to the Dickies vault, giving them the chance to win incredible prizes," confides Hlawatsch. Dickies will present all of its workwear innovations multiple times a day at the Fashion Show in hall 11. Further information can be found at www.dickiesworkwear.de and www.facebook.com/dickieswork

About the company:
Since its founding in 1922, the American firm Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. has gone from a simple provider of overalls to the world's biggest family-owned workwear manufacturer, turning over some 700 million euros a year. Over the decades, it has evolved from a purely workwear-focused firm to a globally active group, now with brands in the fashion and streetwear sectors, alongside premium providers in the safety shoe, leasing and female workwear markets.

Its European workwear activities are managed from its headquarters in Radstock in Southwest England, where a warehouse dispatches over seven million items a year in three-shift operation all over Europe with a lead time of four working days. With an annual turnover of over 60 million euros, Dickies is amongst the biggest workwear brands in Europe. Sales branches in Germany, France and the Benelux region ensure orders are fulfilled quickly and smoothly.

With over 20 years of experience in the workwear sector, Marcel Hlawatsch (47) is Director Sales.
