European handbook for the prevention of accidents at sea and the safety of fishermen

The recently publihed handbook on 'prevention of accidents at sea and the
safety of fishermen' contains the minimum advice on safety and health for
fishermen working on board fishing vessels.

It is not a safety manual nor is it a substitute for effect ive training but it
will hopeful ly raise the awareness of the need for such training, knowledge
and competence with regard to safety. The use of this handbook does not exclude
you from compliance with your own national and European regulations.
