For a safe perspective Dräger launches X-pect 8000 - a new line of safety glasses

Lübeck – Dräger expands its product range of personal protective equipment. The new line of safety glasses X-pect 8000 contains eleven models that combine eye protection with superb wearing comfort and are recommended for nearly all applications.

All glasses provide at least 99 % UV protection. They are certified in accordance with the standard for personal eye protection EN 166:2001 and comply with requirements of the highest optical category (class 1). Made of polycarbonate, these safety glasses are light-weight and resistant against mechanical strain. Some models can be adjusted to the individual user's head to increase the wearing comfort. In addition, most models have glasses with anti-scratch and anti-fog coating.

Thanks to their ergonomic design, the new eye protection is easily compatible with the Dräger X-plore series respiratory protective devices of the. Therefore, our eyewear can be used in a variety of applications – from sanding and painting by craftsmen to working with gases, fumes and smoke in industry or laboratories. Our glasses can be divided into three categories:

Well combined: “Fit-over” glasses
Users wear the Dräger X-pect 8100, so-called “fit-over” glasses, over their own prescription eyewear. The new models provide a wide field of vision. Protective rails on the upper and lateral side of the glasses ensure all-round protection against dust or larger particles such as shavings.

Light-weight glasses for use over long periods: The safety glasses
X-pect 8300 safety glasses are particularly recommended for long-term use, for example in chemical or pharmaceutical areas, for lab and maintenance work and in industry.
A model made of non-conductive materials is available for work in high-voltage areas.

Overall protection: Full-view protective glasses
X-pect 8500 full-view protective glasses provide a seal around the eye of the wearer to protect the eyes against gases and fumes. The polycarbonate version offers additional protection against hot particles. Its acetate lens makes the X-pect 8515 model particularly resistant to chemicals.
