Guidance for electroplating work

The British Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has published a new Engineering
Sheet on "Workplace welfare in the electroplating industry". It describes
typical health and safety problems encountered in electroplating workshops, like

  • Wet floors
  • Dirty toilets/washing facilities
  • Dirty walls, floors and surfaces
  • Inadequate general ventilation
  • Inadequate lighting
  • Temperature too low or too high.

The leaflet discusses the associated hazards, causes and suggested remedies.
