HB Schutzbekleidung at A+A 2015: Focus on arc flash protection and high visibility

Thalhausen, 27 October 2015. In addition to intense heat or the build-up of pressure, an electric arc can also produce liquid plasma. Due to the generation of extreme heat, there is a high risk of people suffering burns. HB Schutzbekleidung offers various products designed for the specific hazards caused by an arc flash. Starting with the single-ply class 1 "lightweights" such as HB-MODarc, a modacrylic/cotton mix weighing 275 g/m², or aramid/viscose fabrics weighing 260 g/m², the product range goes all the way up to the robust two-ply HB-4arc weighing 390 g/m², offering class 2 protection on a cotton basis with an ATPV of 37.0. If you like soft outer materials, the HB Indura® Ultrasoft® collection, combining cotton with polyamide and weighing between 340 and 380 g/m², is the perfect choice for you.

People who work in public places need highly visible all-round protection. HB's extensive range of protective FR clothing, certified according to the new DIN EN ISO 20471 standard and offering plenty of scope for different applications and combinations, is the ideal solution. The bright fluorescent yellow and high-quality 3M Scotchlite™ FR reflective strips ensure optimal visibility in the dark and in poor visibility conditions. For the outer material, HB uses modacrylic/cotton mixes based on "HABETEX® MultiSafe Pro", including direct laminate with PU membrane, as well as wind- and water-repellent breathable fabrics that are very suitable for outdoor use. The certification according to the latest standards ranges from arc flash protection class 2 to heat, flame, chemical and welding protection to high-visibility and weather protection class 3 plus antistatic.
