FilterSpec, a new concept in eye and respiratory protection that was launched by JSP last year has won the prestigious Frost & Sullivan 2011 North America New Product Innovation Award for what they called ‘a remarkable product which is unique in its market.’
FilterSpec combines a mask and disposable filter with safety spectacles or goggles in a way that allows both protective devices to work independently, but in harmony. FilterSpec and a goggle version called FilterSpec Pro allows both eye and respiratory protection to work at their full effectiveness but as an integrated unit, so that a perfect fit is achieved with both items of PPE.
Frost & Sullivan is a highly respected growth partnership global consultancy, and honoured JSP for identifying and addressing an under-met requirement of the market. ‘Differentiating oneself from the competition in a highly mature & competitive market is a challenging task. JSP Ltd has made a distinct mark in the industry by excelling in its research and development capabilities to develop efficient products,’ said Brian Balmer, Industry Principal of PPE, Frost & Sullivan.
The product is designed for environments such as construction, industrial, automotive, veterinary, clinical & dentistry, industrial cleaning and hygiene, or any other working environment where eye and respiratory protection are required. FilterSpec and FilterSpec Pro are economic and durable, and mean that only one piece of PPE and not two is required for storage, maintenance and resupply. The spectacles conform to EN166.1F, and the mask conforms to EN1827:1999 FMP2 with a P2 filter. Further information is available from:- www.jsp.co.uk
