Kaya Ropes and Work Safety will participate in the international A+A 2009 to be held in Düsseldorf at 3-6 November and will promote the technical ropes it produces using the most advanced raw materials and manufacturing technology, its newly developed working at height equipment, and the new training centre located in its new factory building.
Kaya will exhibit its newly launched products including steel fixed lifelines, new models of harnesses, industrial climbing helmet, and pole climbers as well as its general product line: static and dynamic ropes, work safety equipment, personal protective equipment, load lifting equipment, civil defence and rescue equipment, mountaineering and industrial climbing equipment, technical textile.
Kaya, still, continues its R&D and design programme to develop its products and to bring in new equipment.
Additionally, Kaya Ropes and Work Safety manufactures all kinds of technological ropes for marine, climbing, rescue, military and special purposes with international certifications varying in accordance with the specific customer demands and usage conditions where occupational health and safety matters are concerned.
The vertical and horizontal lifelines which Kaya Ropes and Work Safety has been manufacturing for two years will be exhibited for the first time at the A+A Fair. The components of these lifelines are made of high quality AISI 304 steel. They are designed for use on wind mills, telecommunication and electricity towers, roof structures, factories, construction sites and docks.
Two new harness lines will be promoted: the High End Line with design features of soft shoulder padding, breathable waist belt, loops for hanging tools on and connectors with increased security; and the Mainstream Line with standard safety harness characteristics aimed at meeting work safety needs on more industrial and larger scale projects.
The Helicon helmet which is newly designed by Kaya, features lining, foam and chin strap and aims to provide a more technologically advanced product to meet work safety needs, as well as mountaineering requirements.
The last launched product: pole climbing spur is lighter, has more dependable foot grips and is ergonomically designed to facilitate climbing compared to similar devices made in Europe.
KAYA GOSB 2020 project will also be promoted at the exhibition. This is one of eight projects in Turkey to be registered for LEED Certification, awarded to environmentally friendly building projects by the USGBC (The U.S. Green Building Council). This will have 12,000 m2 of covered area built on 10,000 m2 of land, and will contain training facilities; a laboratory; a library; exhibition hall; climbing test and activity hall; administration and research and development areas; a helicopter pad and other service units. There will also be a crisis management centre. The goal is to found the largest Work Health and Safety Training Centre in Europe, within the scope of the GOSB Project.
The General Director of Kaya Ropes and Work Safety, Kemal Kaya says, “We offer a wide range of products we have designed and developed, consisting of ropes and work safety equipment with international quality certificates. Under the project we began in the year 2000 called, “Towards 2020, A Restructuring and Development Project” our aim is to improve our R&D and production of technical ropes, personal safety equipment and systems for working safely at height, and thereby to make our mark in the field internationally. This will be the fifth time we have exhibited at the A+A Fair, and with the new products we will introduce this year, our goal is to increase our share in the European market.
