The new LION-V-Force® fire fighter suit with innovative TenCate Gemini XTL™ outer shell fabric

The LHD Group offers LION-V-Force® turnout gear now also with the new outer layer called TenCate Gemini XTL ™ manufactured by Dutch weaver TenCate.

Cologne, August 2013. The LHD Group headquartered in Cologne (Germany) hasdeveloped a new product line of structural fire fighter clothing in cooperation with the Dutch weaver TenCate Protective Fabrics. A special highlight is the state-of-the-art outer shell fabric developed by TenCate called TenCate Gemini XTL™. It raises the bar on durability, tear strength, flame retardant properties, moisture and heat management, thermal protection, and abrasion values. The material is very lightweight, flexible, and breathable. It is easily recognizable because of its patented high tech grid of composite filament and spun yarns that provides strength, reduces abrasion and eliminates puckering .The LION V-Force® PPE (personal protective equipment) combines this high-tech outer shell fabric with a Gore-Tex®- membrane and a well-proven lining material. The multilayered and multifunctional clothing offers fire fighters an optimum balance of comfort, mobility, protection, and reliability. The low weight makes this product version particularly suitable for call outs in hot climates. The performance and the efficiency of a fireman are significantly increased by the very high breathability of the material composition. This LION-V-Force® turnout gear can be ordered worldwide in all usual standard sizes. It can also be tailor-made. “LHD Group has recently won a tender to equip the Amsterdam fire brigade with PPE using another TenCate fibre. We are thus confident that we will be able to sell this new version of our premium product LION V-Force® to many other cities in Europe. It is our aim to offer fire fighters worldwide the best possible protection and comfort with our clothing solutions“, says Klaus Hawerkamp, Manager Service Delivery, LHD Group GmbH. LHD Group’s PPE is worn by fire fighters on all five continents, e.g. in Accra, Christchurch, Hamburg, and Hong Kong.
