Lakeland Europe, the new sales and distribution company for Lakeland Industries Inc, USA have confirmed completion of CE marking for two new protective clothing products for the European market.
Safegard 76 and Micromax are both CE marked in Category III as suitable for Type 5 and 6 applications. Safegard uses breathable SMMS material and features unique Tyvek-bound seams for added strength and particle barrier, whilst Micromax is an exclusive 3-layer microporous film laminate featuring a “rip-stop” scrim between the spunbond PP and film layers.
Produced in the company’s own manufacturing facilities in China, both are available in full container loads delivered direct to distributors from China. This service, claims Lakeland, gives European distributors direct access to Chinese manufacturing costs… without actually having to go there. The coveralls are also available in smaller quantities from Lakeland’s new European warehouse in East Yorkshire, UK.
The new warehouse opened in March with stocks available in April. With new fire protective disposable coveralls Pyrolon XT and DTP the two new additions form Lakeland’s initial range of product for Europe. During 2003, the new European company will be adding a range of chemical suits up to Types 1 and 2, along with fire-fighters clothing.
Safegard 76 & Micromax will be featured on Lakeland's stand at A+A - Hall 5, Stand G23. For more information on Lakeland protective clothing, contact Martin Lill or Martin Watkin on +44 1482 665155 or fax +44 1482 665030. e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
