Occupational Asthma

There are many new cases of occupational asthma each year. This count even
rises if you include asthma made worse by work (work-related asthma). For
example occupational asthma is the most frequently reported occupational
respiratory disease in Great Britain, may ruin lives and costs society up to
£1.1 billion.

A new website of the British Health and Safety Executive (HSE) informs about

- The main causes of occupational asthma

- What it is like to get the disease

- What employers have to do to protect their employees (see Live Issues and
Information)

- What HSE and stakeholders are doing to tackle the problem (see - Programme of
Work)
