Occupational Health Field database

The Cochrane Occupational Health Field (COHF) - in co-operation with the
Finnish Institute of Occupational Health - has given access to a Health Field
database

Its aim is:

  • to gather evidence on the effectiveness of occupational health interventions
  • to stimulate the completion of systematic reviews on these interventions.

The scope of the field covers all interventions related to the prevention or
treatment of occupational or work-related diseases, injuries and disorders.
Trials that include a comparison group that may be either concurrent or
historical will be considered as evidence of effectiveness of these
interventions. The Field is housed at the Finnish Institute of Occupational
Health.

The COHF database is meant to function as an easily accessible resource for
both occupational health professionals and researchers trying to locate the
current best evidence regarding occupational health concerns. It consists of
reference data of intervention studies related to the prevention and treatment
of occupational or work-related diseases, injuries and disorders. The database
has been created and is continuously updated by using Reference Manager Web
publisher. Searching the database is therefore restricted to within the
parameters set by the program.
