The Ergopass from König + Neurath presents practical alternatives
Düsseldorf, September 2007 – Many people working with computers know that a correctly adjusted table and chair are essential for their personal well-being and for the avoidance of health problems that can also place a huge financial burden on the economy. Yet only a few people know their personal reference points – an aspect which prompted König + Neurath to develop the so-called Ergopass.
The Ergopass is a handy, six-page, A6-sized booklet that not only clarifies the correct method of measurement but is also designed to serve as one’s own personal data record in which the individual anthropometrical values can be recorded within the framework of a specialist consultation by a qualified König + Neurath dealer. This data provides the user with his or her optimal adjustment settings for seating height, desk height whilst sitting or standing as well as the positioning of the PC screen, the use of a footrest and other ergonomic accessories.
One third standing and two thirds sitting – but how?
The Ergopass also provides specific answers to the question as to which working position can lead to which problems, revealing, for example, the ideal ratio of sitting to standing whilst working. Greater efficiency and creative motivation are already noticeable after just 3-4 such position changes per hour. Physical and mental flexibility are mutually dependent and, in the long run, lead to an improvement in well-being in front of the computer screen.
Office workers should benefit from the advantages of both working positions and proactively avoid immobility. In this respect, the Ergopass also offers numerous Internet links that provide instructions about how to achieve more movement at one’s workstation.
The Ergopass can be requested free of charge at: email@example.com or be downloaded directly from the company homepage www.koenig-neurath.de.
