SARS outbreak fear prompts action

The continuing spread of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) on several
fronts throughout the world is being countered by increasingly dramatic and
elaborate measures by countries affected and as yet unaffected. So far some
2,500 persons have contracted the disease worldwide.

An Infection control guidance on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) for
health care workers in health care facilities and other institutional settings
has been prepared by the Canadian government:
