CBI - Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries

Safe business opportunities from developing countries

CBI is proud to present 17 suppliers of personal protection equipment from
seven developing countries at A + A 2011, the largest international trade fair
for safety, security and health at work. A + A 2011 will take place from 18 – 21
October at Messe Düsseldorf in Germany.
Professionals who manage workplace security and safety know – it’s all about reducing
risk. At A + A 2011 1,500 companies will present personal protective equipment (PPE)
designed to reduce the risk of accidents and make work sites safer. But what about the
risks involved in forming supplier partnerships?
This October, CBI will present 17 companies from seven developing countries. These
suppliers can match the quality and consistency of higher-profile companies, but offer a
much sharper price point. All have been carefully audited in terms of product quality and
consistency and have completed a strict CBI Export Coaching Programme for Personal
Protective Equipment. This all adds up to reduced risk for their new European partners.
All 17 suppliers will showcase their products in the CBI Pavilions (Hall 5, Stand F32 and
Hall 6, Stands E76, E77 and F76) at A + A 2011, 18 - 21 October at Messe Düsseldorf.
These manufacturers are experienced in the PPE industry. They offer a wide range of
technologically advanced products: ear, eye, foot, respiratory and head protection; fall
arrest systems; descender devices; and full body protection. Their protective and work
garments include flame-retardant and high-visibility products, as well as life jackets,
wetsuits and body armour. Some of them are specialised for fire fighting, and industrial
activities.
These suppliers from Bosnia-Herzegovina, India, Jordan, Pakistan, Colombia, Tunisia and
South Africa are ready for the European marketplace and are actively seeking
partnerships. You can meet them, see their products and talk to CBI PPE sector experts
at the CBI Pavilions (Hall 5, Stand F32 and Hall 6, Stands E76, E77 and F76).
