Scott leads with new technology

The new Scott IRIS ( Intergrated Radio Information System) is in the first instance a stand alone fire-ground Electronic Monitoring Unit (EMU). IRIS provides backlit digital information alongside a traditional pneumatic gauge to ensure the wearer is provided with fail safe information on their air reserves, ambient temperature and time to whistle. Alternatively with the addition of an optional telemetry module, imformation can be sent to the Entry control Officer in real team, to monitor the status of a fire fighters breathing set. IRIS also provides the wearer with an integrated "man down alarm" (PASS/ADSU Unit)) and innovative "Richochet" safety feature which ensures evacuation signals have a better chance of being received by a firefighter...
