Featuring dual transparent colour:
Talisman Elite, the new miniature microbolometer camera for fire brigade use
The new Talisman Elite thermal imaging camera from Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA, Lübeck, is the smallest and lightest microbolometer camera available with 320 x 240 pixels. Powerful rechargeable batteries allow up to five hours of operation. The camera is suitable for a wide variety of applications, from identifying and monitoring concealed fire seats, locating missing persons, to orientation even in thick smoke, fog or darkness.
The Talisman Elite is the only camera equipped with the innovative dual transparent colour function (DTC): this technology allows the fire fighter to identify clearly the heat and danger zones within a fire. At the same time, all details remain visible rather than being concealed, with the result that the Elite produces the clearest thermal images ever achieved.
The new A-Si microbolometer sensor (amorphous silicon) with its advanced digital signal processing delivers extremely detailed and sharp thermal images which can be viewed on a large bright LCD screen, even by several people at the same time.
Additional integrated functions
The Talisman Elite also offers a host of additional functions:
the integrated digital temperature measurement function measures temperatures of up to 1000 °C and displays them digitally. An audible alarm warns the user when the battery voltage is low, and powerful video transmitter systems and a range of receiver units are available for wireless transmission of thermal images.
The Talisman Elite comes in a "future-proof" design - throughout the camera's life, newly developed components and updates can be integrated to ensure that the camera always offers state-of-the-art specifications. Obviously, the camera is also robust, heat-resistant and easy to operate for fire brigade use.
A further advantage of the Talisman Elite is the fact that a US export licence is not necessary for distribution in Europe.
Dräger Safety is well-known as one of the world's leading suppliers of sophisticated thermal imaging cameras for use by fire brigades.
