Test kit for monitoring of fumigation agents in containers
The new Fumigation Case from Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA (Lübeck) allows a quick and easy analysis of the air in fumigated transport containers. The case comprises the Dräger container probe, the sulphuryl fluoride test (also known as SF or Vikane) and the Simultantest-Set Fumigation. In conjunction with the accuro gas detection pump and the Dräger Tubes for detecting ammonia, methyl bromide, hydrogen cyanide, phosphine and formaldehyde, all measurement tasks can be performed quickly and simply.
The measurement of fumigation agents in containers takes place in a sealed container, the Dräger probe being pushed through the rubber seal of the container door. Once the Dräger Tubes have been prepared for measurement following the directions given in their Instructions for Use and have been connected to the probe, the Dräger gas detection pump is used to perform the required number of pump strokes. The results from the Dräger Tubes are then read off in accordance with the Instructions for Use.
The new Dräger Tube sulphuryl fluoride test for the measurement of SO2F5 was especially designed for the monitoring of fumigated transport containers; it represents a world premiere and is Dräger-patented.
