The LHD Group, leading innovator at the A+A Düsseldorf 2013

At the A+A (Düsseldorf, 5th to 8th November) the LHD Group will present the latest generation of V-Force® firefighting suits with rescue system and in various material compositions, innovative high-visibility jackets and a high-tech soft shell blouson. The leading provider of holistic service systems anticipates and, with its new development, reacts to increasing demands in the sector of protective clothing.

Cologne, September 2013. The LHD Group Deutschland GmbH (formerly LION) with headquarters in Cologne is presenting product innovations in the segments of personal protective equipment and workwear at the leading European trade fair for personal protection, industrial safety and health at work, the A+A, in Hall 4 at Stand D60.

Professional fire fighting protective clothing for the highest demands

The latest generation of the V-Force® firefighting suits will form the core of the presentation at the trade fair. This multi-layered and multi-functional clothing affords firemen the best possible protection and comfort. Numerous extras such as a rescue loop with connecting element afford additional effective usage. The performance and the efficiency of the wearer are enhanced by the innovative material compositions, a design made for operation and additional functional features.

The highlight of the fair this year is the two-part V-Force® Max, which is shown in the version with a gold-colored tough Nomex outer material. This protective suit excels as a result of an integrated rescue system consisting of a rescue loop and a connecting element. Various established rescue and restraint systems used by firemen can be combined with this system. When not in use, the ends of the belt can be stowed in attached flaps and are only extracted and attached when the rescue system is actually needed. The jacket also boasts a hinged-head flashlight device in the breast pocket, height-adjustable radio transmitter pockets on the breast, and a chip card pocket on the left lower sleeve, soft thumb loops and a waterproof pocket in the lining. Further characteristic details are the jacket’s well-proven raglan cut and the ergonomic design of the turnout pants with their high cut kidney protector and adjustable suspenders which combine to form an optimum in freedom of movement. Particularly worthy of note in the rescue system are the innovative metal closing mechanism, the comfortable back padding and the individual size adjustment possibility.

World leader thanks to innovation

In addition to a number of further developments in existing products, the LHD Group is also presenting a V-Force®- firefighting suit with the new outer material, TenCate Gemini XTL™. This excels as a result of its exceptional tear strength, flameproof properties, a high level of moisture and heat protection and extremely low abrasion values. The innovative material is combined with a Gore-Tex® membrane. As a result of its two layers, the protective suit is light, flexible and breathable, with good protection level properties as specified in EN 469 Level 2.

LHD Group workwear provides protection and safety

Further highlights at the LHD exhibition stand are the high-visibility jackets, e.g., for road patrols together with a practical modern soft shell blouson. The high-visibility vests are available in fluorescent yellow, fluorescent orange or fluorescent red with multi-colored, single-color or reflecting customer logo. Depending upon the requirements and the field of action of the customer these are tested and certified by an independent testing institute.

The new soft shell blouson guarantees protection against the weather from the outside together with wearing comfort on the inside. Thanks to innovative high-tech materials from Gore-Tex® the wearer stays fit for a longer period of time as less energy is required to maintain a micro climate. The stretch properties of the fabrics used and the cut combine to afford an optimum in freedom of movement.

The innovative textile production of the LHD Group is supplemented by the unique TOTALCARE® service. This guarantees sustainability in clothing management, significant savings and transparency. Leading fire services throughout the world, such as, for example, the Hong Kong Fire Service Department or the Amsterdam Fire Service both make use of the LHD’s TotalCare® service.

“We are proud that we can once again display a number of world firsts at the A+A. These underline our pleasure in innovation.
