Wearable Technologies, the UK based innovator of health and safety monitoring solutions, has developed new technology that could revolutionise the management of health and safety, creating a safer workplace and added protection for staff.
The companys specialist research team has designed a unique new system that creates a comprehensive real-time picture of workers wellbeing and exposure to environmental risk factors.
The new technology can be integrated into any existing PPE garments and provides a range of real time information, including environmental conditions such as gases, noise and dust, as well as physiological monitoring. The system can also detect lone worker location and emergencies.
Powered by the companys patented eleksen technology, the system brings together real-time information into a single dashboard so that the data can be analysed by site, function or individual worker and provides a complete audit trail.
Some of the biggest names in the industrial, construction and offshore sectors are currently in development talks with the company.
Mark Bernstein, Chief Executive, Wearable Technologies said:
“Our new solution proves that wearable technology, once an expensive aspiration, is now a cost-effective means of reducing injuries to workers, while at the same time improving safety culture across organisations. Our technology is unique in that it can integrate into existing PPE and will function with numerous devices at once to track a wide range of physiological and environmental risk factors.
“The ability to provide complete and measurable real-time data about the workplace environment and the health of individual workers allows managers to make informed decisions that quickly achieve measurable results.”
The new technology will be showcased for the first time at the A+A exhibition in Dusseldorf on 17th October on the Wearable Technologies stand B38 in Hall 11.
