Video: Potential effects of noise induced hearing loss

This video demonstration of noise induced hearing loss allows you to 'see' the
sort of damage that excessive noise can cause inside your ears.

Extremely loud sounds can cause permanent damage to the hair cells in our ears,
but so can moderately loud sounds if they continue over an extended period of
time. The video clip demonstrates how long exposures to moderately loud sounds
can do just as much harm as one really loud sound.

The clip has been reproduced from "The Hearing Video" by the kind permission of
WorksafeBC.
