Launched in time for the coming winter months, the new XRT Insulator™ is ideal for use in cold stores, construction and general outdoor work and combines high comfort and flexibility with general protection, excellent abrasion resistance, good grip and good looks.
“The new XRT™ range provides workers who need general all purpose gloves with a completely new offering and a perfect alternative to traditional leather gloves. And now with the added thermal quality in the new XRT Insulator™ glove, workers can be protected against the cold in the coming winter months,” said John Thorne, UK Country Manager for Marigold Industrial Ltd.
In addition to mechanical protection, Marigold Industrial Ltd also performed industry standard laboratory absorption tests on the new XRT™ range and on traditional leather gloves at the same time, to see how they performed compared to each other.
Oil and then water droplets were placed on a swatch of the palm of XRT™ gloves and the leather gloves, and the absorption levels measured after 10 seconds and 30 seconds. The results revealed that the XRT™ gloves outperformed traditional leather gloves, having much slower oil and water absorption performance.
