Working environment for building and construction

The Danish Branchearbejdsmiljørådet for Bygge & Anlæg, with specialist
assistance from the Danish Working Environment Authority have recently
published the Handbook "OSH in the construction sector" in Danish, English,
German and Polish for the working environment in the building and construction
industry.

The manual provides guidelines on good working environment practice and on how
the rules of the Working Environment Act can be followed within enterprises and
on building sites. First and foremost, the manual has been prepared for
corporate working environment organisations, but it can also be used by
planners, advisors, coordinators working for developers, safety managers,
trainers, suppliers and anyone else with an interest in working environment
conditions in the industry. It can be downloaded onto PCs or smartphones and
can be adapted to the legislation in the each country or to the guidelines for
different sectors.

The manual contains detailed information on

  • The working environment system

  • work stresses

  • technology

  • site layout

  • work processes
