Small-scale and domestic solar energy installations are widely used but only
little attention has been given to the associated occupational safety and
health (OSH) aspects so far. Many workers' groups in various types of
workplaces and sectors are involved with such systems.
The E-fact 69 aims to help identify the potential hazards to workers' safety
and health from small-scale and domestic solar energy systems throughout their
life cycle, from manufacturing, installation and maintenance to decommissioning
and recycling. It also gives examples of preventive measures to address these
hazards.
