The British Health and Safety Executive has issued a bulletin to alert users
and manufacturers of bale wrapping machines of a potential problem with the
pressure sensitive trip device located on the rotating arm. This information
relates to both stand-alone machines and integrated baler/wrappers.

Users should ensure that power is disconnected and movement has stopped before
approaching the machine to carry out any maintenance operation. The safety trip
system should be checked to ensure it brings the rotating arm to a standstill
as quickly as possible to prevent injury. If it doesn't, it may require
adjustment or repair and this should be done in accordance with the
manufacturers instructions. If the safety device still fails to operate
correctly then the supplier should be contacted for further advice.
