New cranes and derricks rule in USA

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration
OSHA has published a new rule addressing the use of cranes and derricks in
construction. The rule, which replaces a decades-old version based on outdated
standards, will take effect Nov. 8. It addresses critically important
provisions for crane operation and incorporates technological advances that
will provide improved protection for about 4.8 million workers employed by
267,000 construction, crane rental and crane certification establishments in
USA.
