Tragwein, May 16, 2025- SCHÜTZE-SCHUHE celebrated its 100th anniversary in a festive setting at the Bruckmühle Pregarten on Thursday evening. Around 160 guests from business, politics, customer and partner companies as well as the workforce celebrated the important anniversary of one of Austria's leading manufacturers of safety shoes together.
A special highlight of the evening was the awarding of theSilver Medal of Honor of the Province of Upper Austria to Thomas Schützeneder, presented by Governor Thomas Stelzer. This award was in recognition of his many years of commitment to the company and his services to the Upper Austrian economy.
The company itself also received several awards: TheUpper Austrian Chamber of Commerce presented the100-year anniversary medal in gold, which was accepted by Florian Schützeneder on behalf of the company. In addition, theEconomic Association presented the prestigiousJulius Award for quality companies in Upper Austria.
In addition to Governor Thomas Stelzer, Angelika Sery-Froschauer (Vice President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce) and Josef Naderer (Mayor of Tragwein) paid tribute to the company in their speeches for its innovative strength, consistency and clear commitment to Tragwein as a business location.
The ceremony was moderated by Mario Sacher. In a personal interview with the entrepreneurial family, the guests were given moving insights into the history of SCHÜTZE-SCHUHE, peppered with anecdotes from a century of company history.
After the official part, the evening ended with a festive meal and musical accompaniment in a convivial atmosphere - in keeping with the company values: People. Change. Quality.
