Mips expands occupational safety product range with the latest evolution of rotational motion mitigation.
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN; Nov. 3, 2025 – Today, Mips, a global leader in helmet-based safety, announced the Mips® Evolve Pro, a new solution that combines advanced safety technology with comfort through improved ventilation and sweat management, addressing key areas such as heath stress.
With the Mips Evolve Pro, the company delivers a customized solution with enhanced ventilation and Coolmax® padding. Its low-friction layer technology is engineered to allow a relative movement between the head and helmet, intended to help reduce rotational motion to the head in certain angled impacts.
In the event of an impact, the Mips Evolve Pro system is designed to move 10-15mm inside the helmet to help redirect rotational motion away from the head and thereby help reduce the risk of brain injury. Specifically developed for industrial safety helmets, the new solution meets the demands of rigorous worksite environments while also offering increased comfort and ventilation.
While many traditional helmets are primarily designed and tested to protect against linear impacts, many real-world helmet impacts occur at an angle. These angled impacts can cause rotational motion to the head, increasing the risk of severe injuries, including traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). The Mips® brain protection system for industrial safety helmets, and the latest Mips Evolve Pro version, are engineered to help redirect this rotational motion through a low-friction layer inside the helmet that moves relative to the head.
“The new Mips Evolve Pro solution reflects our commitment to continue to advance workplace safety,” says Olof Rylander, Senior Business Developer Safety at Mips. “By combining our innovative safety technology with smart design and engineering for comfort and performance, we’re taking next steps in helmet-based safety for everyday workers.”
