PITTSBURGH, August 30, 2023 – MSA Safety, Inc. (NYSE: MSA), announced today that its newest portable gas detector, the ALTAIR io™ 4, was named the 2023 recipient of the Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation Award in the global gas detection industry. Frost & Sullivan is a leading benchmark organization across various global industries that independently analyzes companies and products to recognize achievements and performance in leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.
As the first fully-connected product in the MSA Connected Work Platform, the ALTAIR io 4 was designed from the ground-up to be a fully connected and intuitive safety solution. The innovative direct-to-cloud design allows the ALTAIR io 4 to seamlessly connect with MSA Grid cloud-based software and the ALTAIR io Dock, and that can help safety managers increase compliance, better manage their device fleet and increase visibility into worker safety. The device works in concert with the company's MSA+ subscription service, and together, the ALTAIR io 4 device and MSA+ create a versatile and powerful hardware/software combination that can enhance worker safety and simplify safety program management by delivering real-time visibility to help drive safety and productivity across workers, worksites and workflows.
According to Frost & Sullivan, the New Product Innovation Award recognizes a company that offers a new product or solution that uniquely addresses key customer challenges. This includes determining how a company consistently develops growth strategies based on a visionary understanding of the industry’s future and effectively address new challenges and opportunities. The entirety of the Connected Work Platform ecosystem, which includes the ALTAIR io 4, MSA Grid software platform, MSA+, and MSA id digital device assignment capabilities, is what stood out in the analysis.
