In the food and beverage industry, hygiene is of great importance. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as shoes, jackets, trousers, gloves or helmets are often worn in the workplace. Day in and day out, these PPE are used intensively. In cold stores, workers often work in varying conditions and temperatures, resulting in wet boots, gloves and clothing. However, this does not only apply to employees in cold storages. Employees in the fish and meat industry, ice cream factories, breweries and bakeries also have to deal with wet boots, gloves and/or clothing.
More and more attention is also being paid to staff comfort. Working in proper PPE is necessary in this regard and can be a positive contribution. The efficient and correct drying of the PPE is also involved. Proper drying not only ensures more comfort for staff, it also extends the life of workwear and reduces absenteeism. In addition, working in wet clothing can reduce productivity and motivation, which indirectly increases safety and risk.
Pronomar’s drying systems ensure that clothes are dried within hours. A large amount of warm-air is blown into the stainless steel frame, using a warm-air blower. The small nozzles inside the framework allow the air to reach the inside of the clothes. Problem areas, such as armpits and the tips of gloves/shoes, are also reached with this.
