Real Safety Featured in Danish Business Authority Case on Green Transition
Last year, Real Safety was invited by the Danish Business Authority to share insights into our approach to sustainability and the green transition. A film crew visited our headquarters in Esbjerg, resulting in a featured article and video case on the Business Programme’s website.
At the time, sustainability hadn’t yet become a primary concern for most of our customers. But with the growing focus on ESG reporting and green competitiveness, it became clear that proactive sustainability initiatives would soon become a business advantage. This prompted Real Safety to begin formalizing its green efforts.
From Safety Innovation to Sustainability
Real Safety was founded in 2007 by Torben Farup, with a mission to reduce workplace accidents—particularly slips, trips, and falls, which account for about 33% of all incidents. He developed a range of non-slip safety profiles made from resin and glass fiber composites, now used by industries across Denmark and internationally.
Support for Sustainable Development
As interest in ESG and sustainability continued to rise, Real Safety secured EU co-financing to begin staff upskilling in sustainable practices—laying the foundation for long-term environmental responsibility.
