UNIGLOVES FOCUSES ON GROWING ROLE OF SUSTAINABILITY IN LATEST HAND PROTECTION SOLUTIONS AT A+A
Hand protection specialist Unigloves will be underlining its position as one of the world’s leading glove manufacturers by shining the spotlight on its latest sustainable hand protection range – the Nitrex RP - at this year’s A+A in Dusseldorf.
Manufactured using materials from recycled plastic bottles, in addition to sustainable glove liners designed with 50% recycled polyester yarn, the new Nitrex RP range - https://uk.unigloves.com/pages/sustainable-product-range?_pos=1&_sid=dc442c6ed&_ss=r - is a reflection of Unigloves’ growing ethos towards environmental responsibility through the design and manufacture of a growing range of innovative, sustainable products.
The Nitrex RP range offers protective performance including mechanical, cut and impact protection making it suitable for industrial hand protection applications from automotive to warehousing, engineering, construction, waste management and oil & gas.
Each of the gloves in the range also feature the Recycled Claim Standard - associated with products containing recycled materials, requiring each stage of production to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage, and ending at the final business-to-business transaction for the end product.
In addition to being manufactured using recycled plastics from bottles and food containers, every glove within the new Nitrex RP range is also certified to the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 confirming that every component of the product, from the fabric to the thread and accessories, has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 350 toxic chemicals.
This means these gloves are not only kinder to the planet but contain no harmful substances that could impact workers’ health.
Joining the Nitrex RP range on the stand will be other environmentally conscious products from Unigloves including its first biodegradable nitrile glove – BioTouch.

Designed to protect the skin against common workplace irritants including greases, oils, inks, coolants, detergents, solvents, chemicals and paints, helping to control the risk of dermatitis, Derma Shield can be used across a wide range of industrial environments and is safe to use inside gloves.
Derma Shield is a skin-friendly product, CE marked and produced in the UK according to the Medical Device Standard ISO 13485. It contains pharmaceutical-grade moisturisers such as Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, which work rapidly to preserve the skin's natural moisture balance.
