As we continue to expand our range of height safety equipment, we now venture into new realms by starting our very own Rope Access Revolution.
The rope access profession is an important one to the world around us. They make any area accessible.
When it comes to working in challenging and elevated environments, traditional methods like scaffolding and cranes aren’t always the most practical or efficient options. This is where rope access comes into play, revolutionising the way industries such as construction, maintenance, and inspection tackle tasks at height.
The range comes packed with staple items needed to complete tasks using the rope access technique:
RGH17 – 5 point premium rope access safety harness
RG/Ascender/RH – Right hand ascender
RG/Etrier – Four step etrier
RG/Tool Bucket – 3.8l tool bucket
RGK1/A – Screwgate aluminium karabiner
RGK1/AT – Triple action aluminium karabiner
Our RGH17 journey was one that promptly followed the launch of our multitask comfort safety harness, the RGH16. We used the skeleton of the RGH16 and then added the necessary features to make it fit for the rope access industry.
Following on from some in-depth, in-house research and development. We then worked closely alongside our team of experienced rope access technicians to find out what worked from their experiences and what additions they’d like to see. We wanted to provide the market with an alternate option they could fall in love with.
Our RGH17 has been tested to five standards in total:
- EN 361: Fall Arrest – Back and Front D
- EN 358: Work Positioning – Right and Left D (these can be folded away when not in use)
- EN 813: Sit Harness – Rescue – Waist D
- EN 1497: Back D Ring – unique when compared with a lot of rope access harnesses
- EN 12277: Rescue – Mountaineering – Waist D – this standard makes this harness also an adventure course builder or repairman harness
The journey has been a longer one than we expected, we’ve made numerous changes along the way. We now feel our rope access harness is ready for you. It comes feature packed:
- Removable chest ascender
- Fast fit buckles on legs as standard
- Yellow bosun’s chair attachment point
- Tail tidies
- Parking loops
- Tool loops
We offer a number of bespoke options for our harness range, including the RGH17. You can choose the webbing colour you want from our pre-selected colour palette. These are available at a minimum quantity of 30 harnesses. Also make it ECO, the RGH17 is available using our ECO webbing. ECO webbing is produced using upcycled PET bottles. Our ECO harnesses are subjected and pass the same strenuous tests as our standard harnesses.
