- Leading trade fair with congress for health and safety at work
- Registrations open for exhibitors
- 26 to 29 October in Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf, 17 June 2020. The starting pistol has been fired – exhibitors can apply for A+A 2021 as of now. The leading international Trade Fair and Congress for Safety, Security and Health at Work will be held in Düsseldorf from 26 to 29 October 2021.
New technologies, rising flexibility and requirements: changes in the working world are moving both employers and employees. How can companies protect their staff while keeping production up and running in times of crises? How can we also be healthy and efficient when teleworking? “Safe and healthy working environments can save lives but they also decisively contribute to competitiveness and productivity,” explains Birgit Horn, Director of A+A and adds: “The Corona pandemic has once again clearly demonstrated that employers benefit from investment in occupational health and safety.”
Innovative products, solutions and concepts revolving around safe and healthy workplaces are presented by the exhibitors at the leading international trade fair A+A in Düsseldorf every two years – from personal protective equipment and concepts for company fire protection, environmental protection and disaster relief to exhibitsfor ergonomic and healthy workplace design. With immediate effect exhibitors will be able to apply online for the next edition 2021 at aplusa.de. The allocation of hall space will start in early October and follow the three focal themes of “Personal Protection”, “Security at Work” and “Health at Work”.
Science and Current Trends in one Place
The industry has started preparing for the event and is full of anticipation for face-to-face exchange. “If the Corona pandemic has changed one thing for sure, then it is the way the live-saving products of PPE manufacturers are seen today. During the crisis these long-established companies have given, and still give proof, of their high operational excellence and flexibility. A sector of industry previously not used to being in the limelight, has rightly gained more attention. The demand for high-quality equipment has gone up enormously. Needless to say, the industry is therefore all the more looking forward to showcasing its products and new developments, to having personal exchange and serving newly found customers at A+A,” says Thomas Lange, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of the Interessenverbund persönliche Schutzausrüstung e.V. (Interest Group for Personal Protective Equipment IVPS).
Held in parallel with the trade fair will be the 37th International Congress for Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine – organised by Basi, Bundesgemeinschaft für Sicherheit und Gesundheit bei der Arbeit (the German Federal Association for Occupational Safety and Health). Germany’s leading expert event on health & safety provides a comprehensive overview of scientific findings as well as ample room for dialogue between experts and policy makers and business. “The safe and healthy design of mobility, mobile working and teleworking, will be our themes as much as sustainable occupational safety in supply chains. Inclusion and demographic change in the working world are other important aspects,” explains Dr. Christian Felten, Director of Basi. “In doing so we will also particularly target those who always have to be on site and cannot exchange their workplace for teleworking.” Dr. Felten also considers it crucial how the many possibilities offered by digitalization and artificial intelligence are used for innovative protection concepts for all employees at work.
On top of this, forums, special shows and live presentations will enhance the programme of A+A. “We will focus on learning through experiencing in 2021, too. Alongside the trending themes of digitalisation and sustainability our focus will also be on company-specific corporate fashion in this context,” says Birgit Horn and continues: “With matching apparel companies can strengthen the “community feel” internally and bring it to bear externally.”
A+A is held in Düsseldorf every two years. For years the number of exhibitors and visitors at this leading international trade fair for Safety and Health at Work has been rising constantly. The event in 2019 registered more than 73,000 visitors, over 2,100 exhibitors from 63 countries. In excess of 90% of the exhibitors were satisfied with their trade fair participation, 82% are planning to repeat their participation in 2021. And exhibitor registrations for the coming A+A are, in fact, already coming in fast.
