Call for Participation at the 39th International A+A Congress 2025: fresh ideas, exciting formats, where it’s all happening

Your fresh ideas are needed now for the 39th International A+A Congress 2025. “Experts, stakeholders in trade and industry and policy-making, practitioners in companies and institutions, and their respective networks are all needed to leave their personal mark on future occupational safety and health. Together, we’re shaping safety and health at work and developing sustainable concepts that are proving effective at both national and international level,” explains Dr Christian Felten, Managing Director of the Basi, the German Federal Association for Occupational Safety and Health. The Basi is organizing the 39th International A+A Congress, running concurrently with the International A+A Trade Fair from 4 to 7 November 2025 in Düsseldorf.

The A+A Congress 2025 will focus on the following core topics:

• Strategies for the humane shaping of work
• Artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital transformation for occupational safety and health
• Sustainability and climate change: consequences for prevention activity
• Safety supervision and preventive measures in occupational medicine
• Strategies for prevention in small and medium-sized enterprises
• Health in the world of work
• Prevention of biological, chemical and physical hazards
• Further topics: industrial safety, technical safety and working premises; ergonomics and the shaping of work; events for specific sectors; traffic safety; target groups and/or networks
• Several formats for contributions are possible for the A+A Congress – from the World Café to the fishbowl. Speakers can also attend the congress and present their contribution virtually.

31 October 2024 is the deadline for submitting contributions; the congress will be announced with an overview of the planned sessions at the beginning of 2025.
