The international PPE Conference for specialist dealers at A+A 2019 will tell us where the digitalisation of the industry for Personal Protective Equipment currently stands and where it will take us. Under the heading “Digital Evolution in PPE Distribution – Relevant Dynamics” the Conference in English (without German simultaneous interpretation) this year addresses the question of how the PPE market can adapt its DNA to the on-going evolution driven by disruptive technologies and business models in the digital age.
The International PPE Conference will take place on Wednesday, 6 November 2019, from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm at Congress Center South (CCD South) of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. Speakers from renowned companies such as Bunzl Cleaning and Safety Supplies (UK), Fastenal Company (USA), Lyreco Group (France) and Uvex Safety Group (Germany) as well as the Construction Industry Employers’ Liability Insurance will enter into dialogue with interested specialist PPE dealers from throughout the world. Their topics will be the “Development of Smart PPE and Related Challenges, Risks and Opportunities”, the “Interface between End-users and Distributors” or “Vending Machines in the PPE Environment: Critical Success Factors – Development of New Procurement and Dispensing Strategies”. In addition to digitalisation issues a lecture on the new PPE Regulation should not be missing as it has kept the industry busy since its introduction in April 2019 if not before. Under the heading “Standards and Implications of the New PPE Regulation – Six Months Post Implementation” Henk Vanhoutte, Secretary General of the European Safety Federation (ESF), will share the first experiences acquired with the PSA Regulation 2016/425 from the economic actors’ point of view.

They include participation in all lectures of the PPE Conference, catering and the subsequent visit to the world’s Leading Trade Fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work. The trade fair will be held for the first time in ten exhibition halls 1, 3 to 7 (incl. 7a) and 9 to 11 of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre expecting record participation with 2,100 exhibitors from 64 countries. A+A 2019 will be open to trade visitors from 5 to 8 November, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm daily.
