Corporate Fashion Lounge presents Autostadt-Collection
Jefferys GmbH
Hall 5 / Stand B21
In 2019, the A+A trade show management began working with corporate fashion specialist Jefferys. The Darmstadt-based agency has conducted a broad-based study of the corporate fashion industry's need for its own trade show format. The starting signal for the implementation of the study recommendations is this year's Corporate Fashion Lounge "by A+A". Jefferys, as co-host, will present the new employee collection of the Autostadt in Wolfsburg right next to the lounge as an example of the fascination and complexity of corporate fashion. 2,000 employees were newly dressed from head to toe in 2021. This comprehensive project demonstrates the transformation of workwear – corporate fashion no longer means uniform, but becomes a collection of favorite pieces. The diversity of all employees is taken into account and a common identity is created. With classic items such as jackets and blazers, sporty polo shirts and chinos, winter jackets and knitwear, accessories and branded sneakers, all areas of corporate clothing are covered. In 2023, there are plans to further develop the lounge into a Corporate Fashion Area – a space specifically for exhibitors from the industry, with fashion shows and an accompanying program.

Mask stockpiles for demand peaks
Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA
Hall 6 / Stand E05
When the Corona pandemic broke out, the demand for certified personal protective equipment (PPE) was well above the capabilities of manufacturers worldwide. This will be different in the future: In order to meet both the regular needs of industry and the special requirements of hospitals and healthcare facilities in the event of a pandemic, Dräger has begun offering individual stockpiling concepts for FFP masks [1]
At the A+A in Düsseldorf, Dräger will also show for the first time a dispenser filled with Dräger X-plore 1920 and 1720 FFP masks. The vending machine offers a maximum capacity of 840 masks and can be filled on five levels.[2] It can be used in stand-alone operation or in combination with the Rental Robot cabinet modules – Dräger's automated material logistics solution for safety technology.

Exoskeletons: More strength, endurance and safety
Ottobock SE & Co. KGaA & Fraunhofer IPA
Hall 10 / Stand H40-H42
Paexo exoskeletons are worn like a backpack and relieve the musculoskeletal system during physical demanding activities - for example when working overhead or lifting heavy objects. The goal: to minimise work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) while reducing fatigue and improving working conditions sustainably. Bionic exoskeletons, such as the Paexo series from Ottobock, support individual body segments with a smart energy harvesting method without requiring an external energy source. Through the utilisation of springs or elastics, the systems store the body's own energy and release it back to the user during physically demanding postures and movements (energy harvesting), thereby lightening the load.
This reduces physical strain, especially where lifting and carrying activities are part of everyday work, for example in logistics. Find out more at www.paexo.com and via the QR code.
In the Robotics Park, manufacturers of exoskeletons will present themselves together with the Fraunhofer IPA. The Robotics Park is divided into the Self Experience Space and the Exoworkathlon. In the Self Experience Space, the following manufacturers of exoskeleton solutions will be presenting their products, which visitors can try out for themselves: Ottobock SE & Co. KGaA, Japet Medical Devices SAS, Iturri, German Bionic Systems GmbH, Ergoschutz GmbH and suitX Inc.
The Exoworkathlon is a live study conducted by the Fraunhofer IPA and the IFF Stuttgart. The data collected during the Exoworkathlon is used to scientifically evaluate the extent to which these exoskeletons reduce muscular and skeletal strain and increase performance.
More Highlights at A+A 2021
Innovative cooling waistcoat for top sports and hospital staff
Inuteq International B.V.
Hall 5 / Stand F42
In early 2019, Inuteq was asked to develop custom-made cooling waistcoats for the Tokyo Olympics. When the pandemic hit, the Olympics were also postponed. Team Netherlands medical staff then donated the cooling vests to hospital staff who are exposed to great heat stress when treating Covid patients. This is due to the airtight protective suits that medical staff have to wear to limit the risk of infection. The cooling waistcoat allows several hours of work under extreme conditions. The same cooling waistcoat is now used by many top athletes and has also found its way into the industrial safety market, such as firefighters, glass and metal industry, chemical industry, welders, but also in the office where there is no air conditioning. Overheating can be disastrous for the human body, so cooling down is an essential part of protection, especially when exercising or working in hot places. Staying cool can make the difference between optimal concentration and being unwell (or uncomfortable).
Whatever the situation, INUTEQ's personal cooling solutions offer a durable and reliable way to relieve heat stress. INUTEQ works in close strategic partnership with innovators in technology and medicine, as well as leaders in the fashion industry, and has provided many high-profile athletes and Olympians with the gear they need to stay cool.
