Kick-off of the 39th International A+A Congress: People matter! What does that mean for us?

The main theme, ‘People matter! What does that mean for us?’, will be the focus of the kick-off event of the 39th International A+A Congress on Tuesday, 4 November 2025. It will begin at 1 p.m. in Room 14, Hall 1, 1st floor. The opening event will bring together high-ranking representatives from politics, prevention and social security who will provide impetus for global developments in occupational safety and health.

Speakers include Dr Sebastian Schneider, Chairman of the Board of Basi, Dr Stephan Fasshauer, Chief Executive of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV), Dr Mohammed Azman, President of the ISSA (International Social Security Association) and Marius Berlemann, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf. The event will be moderated by Dr Christian Felten, Managing Director of Basi.

A special item on the agenda is the award ceremony for the "On the move, but safe!" campaign, which was initiated by the German Road Safety Council (DVR) and the Association for Safety, Health and Environmental Protection at Work (VDSI). The awards recognise creative and effective measures to promote safe mobility in everyday working life.
