NEW GRIP ICONS SIMPLIFY GLOVE SELECTION

Hand & Arm Protection expert Comasec International Group who owns Marigold Industrial® & Comasec® is making their glove selection process even simpler for those requiring glove grip performance in particular environments.

To help identify which gloves in the Marigold Industrial® range provide good grip in specific environments, the company has created a new set of Grip Icons.

The 4 Icons that make up the Glove Grip Performance Guide are:

1) Oily Conditions
2) Dry Conditions
3) Wet Conditions
4) Food Oil Environments

As working conditions are often fixed, the only factor that can be modified to provide a better grip is the glove, and each glove has a different grip performance.

Where a product from their range has particularly good glove grip performance in one of those environments, based on the results of a series of in-situ tests that have been specially developed in their R&D facility in Malaysia, the most relevant Grip Icon will sit next to it in promotional materials such as the website and future product catalogues.

“As a leader in workplace Hand & Arm Protection we are constantly striving to make the glove selection process as simple as possible and measure the grip performance of every glove in our range.

“This test system we have created is based on creating a COF (Coefficient of Friction Value) for a glove material in a number of simulated environments – dry, oil, wet etc, the results highlighting how each gloves grip performs in a range of environments, with the Grip Icons a simple way to highlight good grip performance,” said Donald Gillespie of Comasec International Group.

“The new Grip Icons will be used across all relevant information and marketing materials produced in the future to help our customers ensure they choose the best glove for the job every time,” he added.
