New fire brigade helmet protects even against extreme heat

Dräger Safety (Lübeck) has launched a new helmet for fire brigades, the Dräger HPS 6100. After a development period of just ten months, collaboration with Schuberth Helme GmbH (Brunswick, Germany) is already bearing fruit.
The new head protection system offers reliable protection even in conditions of extreme heat and meets all the necessary requirements for secure fit and comfort. This is achieved by the helmet shell, which is made of high-temperature-resistant Duroplast material, and the latest-design inner lining made of flame-resistant and washable Nomex.
Thanks to the patented Dräger Supra adaptor, a Dräger mask can be donned safely and quickly, and is comfortable to wear. Because the helmet can be quickly and easily adjusted to the size of the wearer's head, this is also the case when a mask with headband is used.
The three-point strap made of Aramid, the Nomex hair net and the headstrap made of washable "eco-leather" make the new helmet a great deal safer and more comfortable to wear.
A wide range of accessories and easily labelling mean that the helmet can be adapted to individual needs.
As a partner of fire brigades and industry, the new HPS 6100 (Head Protection System) is the latest addition to Dräger Safety's extensive range of products and services.
Besides the necessary approvals, the HPS 6100 has also passed the flame engulfment test and the BUK test (high temperature exposure test).
Other head protection systems will follow in the near future.
