Sporty lightness for safety areas: ELTEN completes its product line SPORTICS with two new, completely metal-free shoes in S2 version.

Very high requirements are placed on metallically sensitive working areas regarding the work clothes of the employees. For instance, completely metal-free safety shoes are a basic requirement when working near access controls or induction loops which can be found at airports or in the industry. Safety shoes with metallic elements such as steel toecaps and steel midsoles would definitely disturb the functionality of sensitive metal detectors or similar devices.

ELTEN now offers the appropriate foot protection for these workplaces. The product line SPORTICS has been enlarged by two new models, a laced boot called Sander and a low shoe called Senex. Both articles are equipped with a composite toecap and fabric lacings.

These completely metal-free safety shoes do not only convince with their sporty and smart design, but also with their dynamic and lightness.

Even though these shoes almost look like trainers, they fulfill all requirements of the norm EN ISO 20345 and correspond to the safety class S2. CORDURA© and FASHMO™ are used as upper materials – this offers the best possible prerequisites for an employment of the shoes even under extreme conditions. Both materials are abrasion-resistant, dirt-resistant and water-repellent. The equipment features of these two articles are completed with their ESD properties, which enables the wearer of the shoe to work in Electrostatic Protected Areas (EPA).

In order to achieve optimal grip and lightness, a combination of a cushioning PU-interlayer and a smoke-grey TPU-layer for the outer sole had been chosen for the sole. The modern profile and its red inlet additionally give the shoe a sporty look and dynamic.

The metal-free low shoe Senex is already in stock – and you can already look forward to seeing the laced boot Sander from July.
