The second A+A Expert Talk in the new series of web seminars, which are to be held as part of the A+A trade fair, will focus on the GDA Hazardous Substances Check. The GDA supports companies in the performance of risk assessments for activities involving carcinogenic hazardous substances. It was developed as part of the "Safe handling of carcinogenic hazardous substances" work programme.

The GDA Hazardous Substances Check is an online tool made available free of charge by the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions and the institutes of the DGUV Self-assessment, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises; preparation for company inspections within the framework of the GDA (Joint German OSH Strategy)
The GDA Hazardous Substances Check describes the specific obligations and measures by way of succinct and easily comprehensible instructions 9 modules; 3-5 questions per module; answers are provided according to the traffic-light principle (requirements met, partly met, not met)
The GDA Hazardous Substances Check provides an overview of practical tools for specific sectors Software tools such as EMKG (a simple scheme for hazardous substances), GESTIS-Stoffenmanager® (Stoffenmanager®), ZED (central exposure database), GISBAU (hazardous substances information system of the BG BAU), GisChem (chemicals database); LASi publications (Commission of the German regional governments for occupational safety and safety engineering) and DGUV informative publications
