Exoskeletons, also called robot suits, combine human intelligence with mechanical power. They support employees in physically demanding activities or when working in unergonomic positions. At A+A 2023, manufacturers of exoskeletons will once again present themselves in hall 5 A30.
Participating companies:
AGADE SRL
Ansell Healthcare Europe N.V.
Archelis Inc.
Auxivo AG
Auxsys GmbH
Digity GmbH /Universitätsmedizin Göttingen
Ergosanté SA
Fraunhofer Institut für Produktionstechnik und Automatisierung IPA
23% of all sickness-related absences are due to musculoskeletal disorders - caused mainly by incorrect physical strain when lifting and carrying.
Exoskeletons enable employees to carry out their work in a health-friendly manner.
They support the musculoskeletal system and thus reduce stress.
They provide relief during physically demanding activities.
Exoskeletons thus reduce sickness-related absences and production losses.
In addition, the Fraunhofer IPA and the University of Stuttgart’s IFF will present the EXOWORKATHLON.
This event will demonstrate various activities featuring industrial exoskeletons for the upper and lower extremities, in order to show and facilitate discussion of their functions with regard to user feedback, ergonomics, metabolics and production quality. It will offer the chance to make intraindividual comparisons of these specific activities as performed with and without an exoskeleton.
WearRAcon Europe
A+A 2023 will be accompanied by the WearRAcon Europe exoskeleton conference. A two-day (25–26 October 2023) industrial exoskeleton programme is planned, specifically covering end user needs, approval-related news, technical innovations and research, and featuring papers from all over Europe.
