Sievi MGuard with metatarsal protection
The design of Sievi MGuard Roller shoes started with the idea of developing comfortable footwear that provides the user with additional protection in all conditions. The flexible FlexEnergy component in the heel, the BOA® Fit System and the flexible TractionPro rubber friction sole with great grip take the footwear to a new level of comfort. A new feature in the MGuard Roller shoe is the integrated Metashield metatarsal guard, which protects the user from impacts on the insteps.
MGuard Roller shoes feature the thin and very flexible Metashield metatarsal guard developed by Sievi. It is integrated in the shoe’s structure and absorbs impacts on the instep by up to 90 percent. The metatarsal guard is made of PORON XRD® material, and its molecular structure together with the shoe’s breathable upper material allow air to circulate and remove moisture from the shoe, making it very pleasant to wear. The Metashield metatarsal guard offers significantly better protection than conventional safety shoes, without compromising comfort.

The Sievi AirRacer combines the most advanced shock-absorbing heel in the world with Sievi’s stateof-the-art patented SieviAir® sole solution. Sievi FlexEnergy is a flexible component integrated in the entire heel part of the shoe. This provides maximum shock absorption. The component absorbs kinetic energy, with over 55% of the energy returned to the wearer.

SieviAir® safety footwear breathe with your feet!
Developed and patented by Sievi, SieviAir® literally breathes with your feet, improving ventilation within the footwear with every step you take. Under the perforated insole there is a filter, which is connected to exhalation channels. At each downstep, the filter is slightly compressed before reforming to its original shape as the foot is lifted. With the help of this pumping mechanism, the exhalation channels in the sole construction dissipate the moisture generated by the warming of the feet, which guarantees the best breathability on the market.

Sievi plant's expansion
We have invested 15 million euros in the expansion of production and storage facilities. The buildings related to the investment are scheduled for completion in the fall of 2021 and the warehouse automation by the end of 2022. The area of the Sievi plants will increase from the current 2.3 hectares to a total of more than 2.8 hectares.

More than 1.1 million pairs of shoes are produced annually at the production facilities in Sievi and Oulainen. In 2019, Sievi's group-wide turnover was €123 million, of which around 50% was accounted for by exports to a total of more than 40 countries.
Sievi's product range comprises more than 200 shoe models. In order to optimise delivery operations, investments have been made, among other things, in the complete automation of the warehouse, which can hold 150,000 pairs of shoes. The current expansion of production and warehouse capacities at the Sievi headquarters (investment value: 15 million euros) also focuses on future-proof technologies and a level of automation that is unparalleled in the entire footwear industry.
In addition, the production area will be expanded from 2.3 to a total of 2.8 hectares. The construction work is expected to last until autumn 2021.
